Customization for PN and H&P Templates
All Epic Users in the Hospital/Office (Physicians and Providers) need to create 2 smartphrases within Epic's smartphrase manager (in their own accounts).
1. Your Signature/Name
This is your signature for all your Notes (PN and H&Ps). You can change it ad lib (we recommend the use of Font size 11 or 12).
e.g. Johnny Bravisimo, MD
Name of smartphrase = IDOXME
2. Your Service/Specialty
This is your Heading for all your Notes (PN and H&Ps). No need to include PN or H&P. You can change it ad lib (we recommend the use of Font size 11 or 12, uppercase , boldface).
e.g. INTERNAL MEDICINE | HOSPITALIST
Name of smartphrase = IDOXTITLE
3. Create your smartphrases
Click on the Epic button (left upper corner), from the drop down menu select: Smartphrase Manager (Tools --> SmartTool Editors --> SmartPhrase Manager). This will open the SmartPhrase LIST. On the top menu (left side) click on "New". This will open the SmartPhrase Editor. In the "Name" textfield write: IDOXME
Click Save and Accept. Repeat the process for your IDOXTITLE smartphrase.
To change your smartphrases: repeat the process, in the SmartPhrase List, select your smartphrase (e.g IDOXME) then click on the "Edit" button (to open the Editor) and proceed to do your changes. Alternatively just double click it your smartphrase to open the Editor.
